R is a popular statistical computing programming language used to explore data and make plots. In this class, participants without any background in programming will learn the basics of the R programming language and use it to explore simple data sets.

At the end of this class, participants will be able to:

1.  Articulate and identify the basic syntax of R.
2.  Understand the key principles of vectorization.
3.  Identify and use the basic data structures provided in R.

This class is in person, please bring your own laptop. If you are planning to attend Part 2 (next week), make sure you register for each class separately.
