OPEN ACCESS WEEK 2025 pop-up class: Who Owns Our Knowledge?
This interactive workshop explores open access through the lens of ownership, equity, and impact, and will provide ways to understand the International Open Access Week initiative. We will discuss current publishing models, social justice implications, and strategies for advancing openness. Case studies will highlight open access contributions to health (main focus), while also looking at the interdisciplinary implications associated with equitable knowledge sharing and its global impact, while fostering practical approaches for researchers and institutions to foster change.
