Event box

Python is an interpreted, high-level, general-purpose programming language. Part 1 of this interactive, hands-on session introduces students to the basic functionalities of Python as students will learn foundational programming skills and gain experience in applying Python to real-world scenarios that they can then use in the context of their own work. Learning objectives: 1) learn what Python and the Python Interpreter are; 2) become familiar with standard data types; 3) perform basic math operations; and 4) access and subset elements in sequences. The class uses Google Colab, a free, open-source workspace. Please bring your own laptop.

Part 2 of this class builds on what students learned in Part 1 and covers loops, conditional operations, and writing your first script. Please make sure you register for each class separately.
